Travis and Emmett finally patch things up thanks to Bay's on the series while being respectful of Bay and Travis' relationship. It's hard to watch, but it reminds Daphne how lucky she is to have so much support in her life. Bay and Emmett will run into more relationship struggles on this season of Switched at Birth. Plus, are Daphne's feelings for Emmett real?. Toby uses Daphne and Emmett to try to cheat against Wilke in poker because Toby where they drink alcohol out of a flask and discuss Daphne's relationship with Emmett. Kennish Car Wash holds a charity car wash to support Carlton.
She asks Daphne if she wants to come with her, but she the club is for year-olds and older so Daphne has to get a fake ID. While they are at the club Simone gets dared by her friends to go and kiss a random, cute guy in the club.
Simone then dares Daphne to go and kiss a hot guy sitting on a stool across the room, telling her just ask "if they wanna make-out", telling her it works every time. Daphne then goes and kisses the guy with much howling and hooting from Simone and the girls at the table, only to be seen by the guy's angry girlfriend.
Simone then leaves the table and tells the guy and his girlfriend that Daphne's colostomy bag is about to explode. Daphne and Simone run back to their table, giggling. When the girls are about to leave the club one reminds them that they have to pay. Simone says that she'll take care of that. Taking what looks to be the payment for the drinks from a girl. Once the other girls are out of the door, however, Simone shoves the money into her pocket. In Self-Portrait With Bandaged Earwhen find out that Simone's father is on the school board of Buckner Halland because of this, she is the only girl on the basketball team who knows the school's true motives in asking Daphne to play.
Wilke approaches Toby for help and advice, asking for Toby to put in a good word.
Wilke admits that he really likes Daphne and that she is different, and not just another girl on a to-do list. At the end of the episode, Wilke appears at the Kennish house and challenges Daphne to a basketball contest if she makes two of three shots he'll leave her alonebut he cheats by knocking the ball away.
Daphne confronts him about the Scoliosis story, calling it phony because Toby has no knowledge of it, but Wilke tells Daphne that she is the only person he has told since moving to Mission Hills. Rush Sport Drinks a corporate sponsor. In exchange, they have to give some of the X. Rush employees a tour of the school to encourage further donations towards the school. Wilke is enthusiastic during the school tour, but Daphne sidetracks and tries to get the sponsors to support Carlton as well.
After the tour, Wilke confronts Daphne about her lack of support for Buckner, and Daphne claims that he is really fun, but he doesn't understand because he has always had so much.
Wilke responds by telling Daphne he needed the tour to go well because his father is on the board for the new athletic centre, which Daphne neglected to realize. Toby tells Wilke that he can't come to the party because he has a gig at a club that Simone set up.
Wilke is upset because he believes that playing at this party will open up opportunities to play at college parties for the rest of the year. The party eventually falls through. Wilke visits Daphne at the Kennish Car Wash where she introduces him to her snobbish classmate Travis. Wilke's inability to converse with Travis due to his deafness causes Travis to mock Wilke's relationship with Daphne, asking Daphne if Wilke even knows she is deaf.Switched at Birth Couples - ["Far Away" by Nickelback] (an 8-vidder collab!)
This in turn causes Daphne to question Wilke's attitude towards their relationship because she believes he does not take her deafness seriously due to his lack of interest in learning to sign. While Wilke and Daphne eat lunch together, Wilke asks to be invited to Daphne's basketball games and calls himself her "B.
The issue of Wilke's lack of ability with signing presents itself again later in the episode when Wilke and Daphne are sitting together in his car in the dark.
Daphne turns on his car light and tells Wilke she wants to communicate in sign language with him, and gives him a name sign signing a W and then sweeping back his hair.

Wilke feels this looks a little vain and Daphne agrees, but she thinks it is a good fit because Wilke is a little vain which he agrees with. Wilke apologizes for his lack of seriousness but does still continue to joke around. Wilke finds out about Emmett and Simone's indiscretion when he holds Simone's phone during the taping. Wilke has a confrontation with Simone about the one night stand, and Simone asks for Wilke's silence.
When the taping ends, Wilke leaves despite Toby's persistence that he stays, saying he has to do homework. She decides to post "Wanted: Considered armed and dangerous" posters in the Buckner hallway, and dressed as a cop, Daphne arrests Wilke with handcuffs.
Wilke tells Daphne that he can't come to the prom because he has a modern civilization paper due, and he has been grounded by his father until it is finished. So, what's the deal? I thought Edward had a thing for you.

You know how there are some people that love you so much, every time you think about them, you get happy? And then there are others that even the tiniest reminder brings you down? I hate even thinking about him. And he just moved back here, right? I hate Bay for wanting to get to know him.
I hate my parents for not being able to stop it. And I hate, more than anything, that I can't even talk to the one person that I would normally talk to about all of this because Bay took him. So, I'm just sitting on this beautiful dock, on this beautiful day, hating the entire world. Aren't you glad you asked? I wish I could just turn my brain off for a second. Can I see your hearing aids? Can you just take them out?
Okay, but it doesn't turn off my brain, only my ears.

Wilke pushes Daphne into the water. Wilke, I'm going to kill you! I can't hear you. All right, I'm coming. Wilke jumps into the water. What would have happened if I couldn't swim? Well, I guess I'd have to save you. Because he defended her against the means girls. Because he wanted to spend time with her after class.
